One of the easier Eyebright species to identify with pink flowers and yellow centres. Most other Eyebright species have white flowers. The bottom lip is 3-lobed. Occasionally white flowered specimens are seen. Flowers measure 5 to 7mm across.

The fruit is flat and many-seeded.
Leaves:
Small, fleshy, oval leaves with toothed margins.
